Older workers – September 2015
Older Workers is the first of three 2015 reports from the Scottish Widows Centre for the Modern Family (CMF), examining family life and how the UK family is changing.
Our first report explores why an increasing number of people are working into later life, and if they feel supported by their employer. We also look to see the impact this is having on workplace dynamics, as well as how attitudes vary between generations – whether it be family members or colleagues.

This report is based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs, including a nationally representative YouGov survey of 2,000 adults. A further YouGov survey of 500 business leaders spread across all sizes of employer, interviews and discussions with the Centre for the Modern Family panellists, and a series of focus group sessions.
