The Workplace Pensions Report 2016
Since its launch in 2012, automatic enrolment into a company pension scheme has seen great success in bringing more people into long-term saving. This year’s report shows that the proportion of people saving adequately for their retirement has remained at 56% although the number of people saving nothing has fallen, as smaller businesses start to enrol workers into workplace pensions.
Here are some of our key findings:
- Employees are looking to employers for more guidance and the type of support they most want varies from age to age.
- Although minimum pension contributions are set to increase from 2018, encouragingly, only 3% say they will opt out of their company pension scheme.
