The Mercer Master Trust helpline (shown in your retirement letter) can connect you to a retirement specialist who can provide guidance and information about the retirement choices you plan to make.

The retirement specialist can also help to set up flexible income drawdown and withdraw cash sums from your retirement savings in the Mercer Master Trust.

This service is managed by the Mercer Master Trust administrator, Scottish Widows.

If you are looking to use some or all of your retirement savings to set up an income for life through an annuity, they can refer you to Mercer's specialist annuity service. This service can conduct a comprehensive search to find you the best rate for an annuity, taking into account your lifestyle, health, postcode and the amount you have available to buy the annuity.

For details, call the Mercer Master Trust Helpline.

The online retirement planning and financial advice service, Destination Retirement, is provided on Mercer’s behalf by HUB Financial Solutions. The service:

  • Helps you envisage what you want life in retirement to look like;
  • Gives you a free personal retirement plan that helps you make the most of your pensions, savings and investments; and
  • Provides fully-regulated financial advice, including a retirement plan.

If you choose to follow the advice, the service will set up your retirement plan for you and provide support to keep you on track throughout retirement.

You can plan on your own, or with your spouse or partner, one step at a time, and at your own pace.

You can manage the entire process online by yourself if you wish, but you can talk to a retirement specialist via web chat, email or telephone at any point along the way.
