     This section explains

  • How you can find out what you’re currently paying
  • How you might compare your pension costs
  • What to do if you need help

Every pension comes with fees and charges. These cover the cost of setting up and managing your pension.

How much it costs to transfer

We won’t charge you for transferring your pensions to us. Speak to your current providers to find out if they’ll charge you to transfer your existing pensions.

Where you can find out about charges

You may be able to see how much you’re being charged in your other pensions’ policy documents.

It’s also worth checking how your pensions are invested, as this will affect how much you pay in charges.

You may need to speak to your providers to get this information.

To find out about the charges you pay for your Retirement Account, read our guide (PDF, 2MB).

This will help you compare the cost of your pension with us and what you're paying for your other pensions. Comparing charges will let you see if you could save money by combining your pensions.

If you’re not sure how to do this

If you’re not sure where to start, read our guide about charges. You can also visit your scheme infosite or view your pension details online to find out more about the charges which apply to your pension with us.

Our transfer checklist

If you need to speak to your providers about your pensions, use our checklist so you know what to ask.

Questions we're often asked

  • There are four ways you can find out about your charges:

    • Check your policy/plan documents
    • Look at your providers’ websites
    • Log in and view your pension details online
    • Contact your other providers.

If you’d like to know more about our charges, contact us.

  • We’ll get in touch with your other providers and ask them to transfer your pensions to us. We’ll keep in touch while this is happening to let you know how it’s going.

If your other provider uses the same transfer service as us, it usually takes about six weeks. If not, we’ll let you know so you can ask your other providers for a manual transfer form. This process can take longer.
