Brand update

We are improving the digital experiences for our customers as part of a transformation to modernise Scottish Widows whilst also refreshing the way we look. 

For a period of time, and throughout 2024-2025, you will see old Scottish Widows and new Scottish Widows side by side until we have fully rolled out our new brand across all customer touchpoints.  

This will take a while so please bear with us during this time of transformation, but we want to reassure you that it is still us.

    • We’re modernising how we provide our products and services, making it easier for customers to do more digitally, so we felt it was the right time to refresh our brand identity to make it stand out more in digital channels. 
    • Our logo has been redesigned with a contemporary take on the traditional logo. 
    • There is no change to our name or legal entities.  
    • From September 2024 our refreshed brand will be used in our advertising and is being rolled out in our app.  
    • Over the coming months, you’ll see some emails and communications in our existing style and some that feel new and fresh. Don’t worry, they’re both from us.  
  • We’re rolling out our new look gradually, so you’ll see old and new Scottish Widows side by side throughout 2024 and 2025. But we want to reassure you that this is intentional. 

  • Given the changes, you might be concerned that some of the communications you receive from us are not genuine. 

    If you are worried, there are simple ways you can identify a genuine communication from us. If we send you an email, it will always include your title, surname and the last four digits of an account that you hold with us or your postcode. Every email we send includes information on how to contact us if you think the email is fraudulent.  

    And remember, we will never ask you to:

    • Share any of your account details like user ID’s, passwords, and memorable information  
    • Move your money to another account 
  • We’re rolling out our new look gradually, starting with our Scottish Widows workplace app and some advertising activity initially. 

    So, you’ll see old and new Scottish Widows side by side throughout 2024 and 2025 but we want to reassure you that this is intentional. 

    • Some of the changes you might notice are an updated logo, new colours and a slightly different tone in how we speak.  
    • We’ve had lots of customer input and we’re making these subtle changes to keep our brand fresh and modern.   
    • As we make these shifts, you’ll see and experience communications from Scottish Widows with both ‘new’ and ‘old’ brand identity side by side for a little while.
