To allow us to deal promptly with your request, please ensure you include:

  • your account, plan or policy number
  • your full name
  • your address

Once we have received your letter, we aim to respond to your request within 5 working days. Please note in order to process some requests, we may need to get in touch with you for additional information. Ways to do this

  • Secure online access

    Existing online users are able to receive an instant valuation. If you are not registered, please request access.

    Whilst most ISAs, Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and Bonds are normally available online, Endowment policies, plans taken out before 2000 or those which contain letters or more than 8 digits in the policy number, are unable to use this service. For ISAs, OEICs & Bonds online access is 8am to 8pm weekdays and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.

    Once we have all the information needed, your valuation request can take up to 5 working days to be processed. Depending on how you have asked us to contact you, it may take up to a further 5 working days for you to receive confirmation.

Put money in

Ways to do this

  • Call us

    Customers with a Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) bank account: If you wish to put money into your investment from an LBG account, you can do this over the phone by speaking to one of our consultants, Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. Bank accounts with LBG are those with either Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Scottish Widows Bank or Birmingham Midshires.

    Customers with non LBG accounts: Please write to us with your request.

    A few things to consider:

    • When putting money into your investment you need to decide upon the fund or funds you would like to invest in, the full range of our investment funds can be found here.
    • In order to meet Anti Money Laundering requirements we may need documentary evidence to complete your transaction. If this applies, we will confirm what additional information you need to provide.
    • When calling us please make sure you have your account number to hand.

    Please read the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) for your chosen fund prior to investing. In addition, the Supplementary Investor Information Document (SIID) is designed to be read alongside the relevant KIID. Together, they summarise important information about the Scottish Widows OEIC and ISA funds that are currently available for you to invest in.

    If you wish to put money into your investment from a non LBG account, or prefer not to use our telephone service, please provide your request in writing and include:

    • your investment account number
    • your full name and address
    • the amount you wish to invest
    • the bank account you wish the payment to be made from
    • how you would like us to reply and your contact details (such as your email address or telephone number)
    • your signature providing us with your consent to action your instruction

    If you have not made a payment in the last 3 months, we will require an original or certified copy of documentation providing evidence of name and a separate document for evidence of address. If you have any questions on what is needed, please call 0345 300 2244 for OEICs & ISAs or 0345 366 7725 for Bonds & Endowments.

    Have you invested into your investment ISA since the beginning of the previous tax year? If yes, please sign and complete either the Scottish Widows Unit Trust Managers declaration form or the HBOS Investment Fund Managers declaration form depending on which provider your account is held with. We won’t be able to process a cheque or instruction without that confirmation.

    If no, please complete the ISA application form and return it to us along with a cheque made payable to Scottish Widows Unit Trust Managers Ltd if your investment is held with Scottish Widows, or HBOS Investment Fund Managers Ltd if it is with the Halifax.

    If you wish to put money into your OEIC, for Scottish Widows investments please complete the Scottish Widows Unit Trust Managers declaration form or the HBOS Investment Fund Managers declaration form if your investment is with the Halifax. Cheques should be made payable to either Scottish Widows Unit Trust Managers Ltd or HBOS Investment Fund Managers Ltd depending on who your account is held with.

    When topping up your investment you need to choose the fund you would like to invest in. Please read the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) for your chosen fund prior to investing. How long will it take?

Once we have all the information needed, your top up request can take up to 5 working days to be processed. It may take up to a further 5 working days for you to receive written confirmation.

    To take money out of your investment you can speak to one of our consultants Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm.

    If you have an OEIC or ISA please call 0345 300 2244.

    A few things to consider:

    • When calling us please make sure you have your investment account number to hand.
    • Whilst we aim to complete the majority of withdrawals over the phone, there may be instances where we require you to complete the transaction in writing.
    • In order to meet Anti Money Laundering requirements we may need documentary evidence to complete your withdrawal. If this applies, our consultant will confirm what additional information you need to provide.
  • Write to us

    If you would like to access your money by writing to us, please download, complete and return the relevant withdrawal form(s):

    In order to process some written withdrawal requests we may need to get in touch with you for additional information. For example, to meet Anti Money Laundering requirements we may need documentary evidence to complete your withdrawal. If this applies we will get in touch to confirm what you need to provide, so please make sure to include a daytime contact number and/or email address.

How long will it take?

    Once we have all the information needed, your withdrawal request will be processed on the day of receipt. It may take up to 5 working days for you to receive your payment and written confirmation. Payments made by cheque may take up to an additional 2 working days. Please note that timescales may vary for structured maturity products and payments to non-UK bank accounts.

    Once we have all the information needed, your withdrawal request will be processed within 3 working days. It may take up to a further 5 working days for you to receive your payment and written confirmation. Payments made by cheque may take up to an additional 2 working days. Change funds

    To change investments funds you can speak to one of our consultants Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm or on Saturday between 9am and 12:30pm.

    • Please read the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) for your chosen fund prior to requesting to change funds. The full range of our funds can be found here. In addition, please read the Supplementary Investor Information Document (SIID), which is designed to be read alongside the relevant KIID. Together, they summarise important information about the Scottish Widows OEIC and ISA funds that are currently available for you to invest in. You will be required to provide evidence of having read the KIID to complete your request.
  • Write to us

    If you would like to change your investment fund(s) by writing to us, pleased download, complete and return the relevant declaration and switch forms.

    Customers with a Scottish Widows investment:

    Customers with a Halifax investment:

How long will it take?

Once we have all the information needed, your request to change investment funds can take up to 5 working days to be processed. It may take up to a further 5 working days for you to receive written confirmation.

Amend my details

    Existing online users are able to amend their address online. If you do not have a Customer ID and PIN please register.

    Whilst most ISAs, Open Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and Bonds are normally available online, Endowment policies, plans taken out before 2000 or those which contain letters or more than 8 digits in the policy number, are unable to use this service. For ISAs, OEICs & Bonds online access is 8am to 8pm weekdays and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.

    • the details you would like to amend
    • how you would like us to reply and your contact details (such as your email address or telephone number)
